  • Where do jewelry making socials take place?
    Gem Collective offers custom at-home parties and jewelry making for bridal parties and birthday parties. Please contact us directly at hello@gemcollective.ca to inquire about a custom event. Please note that we currently only offer jewelry socials in the Metro Vancouver area. Customers events outside Metro Vancouver may be available for additional travel costs.
  • Do I get to create my own jewelry?
    Absolutely! We offer a wide range of beautiful gemstones, beads and materials for you to craft your own custom jewelry piece. While the options are nearly limitless, you can create your own design or choose from pre-planned patterns.
  • How many pieces of jewelry can I make?
    Each ticket to a jewelry social includes materials one (1) necklace or one (1) bracelet. You may choose to add additional pieces of jewelry at the time of your social for an additional fee. Please note that our hosts accept credit cards and debit during the events.
  • Can I come alone to one of your socials?
    Yes! We welcome groups and individuals alike to join our jewelry making socials. Many of our guests use Gem Collective as a way to meet new friends.
  • Are drop-ins allowed?
    To ensure that our hosts are prepared with enough materials and place settings, we kindly request that you book your jewelry social ahead of time using the online booking platform. Book Now
  • What is the minimum number of participants I need for a home social or bridal party?
    While we do not have a minimum number of guests required for an at-home jewelry social or bridal party, we do have a minium spend on materials. Please contact us directly at hello@gemcollective.ca for more information about custom events.
  • How much does a jewelry making social cost?
    Our jewelry making café socials start at $45+tax perperson and at home/venue events $50+tax per person.You may choose to add additional pieces of jewelry at the time of your social for an additional fee.
  • How long does a jewelry making social last?
    Approximately 2 hours, give or take. However, many of our guests stay longer to mingle and enjoy each others company after the event.
  • What is your refund policy?
    Unfortunately we do not provide refunds once a ticket is purchased. If you are unable to attend your social, please contact us at hello@gemcollective.ca and we will do our best to schedule you for a future date (subject to availability).
  • Do you offer private events?
    We sure do! Please contact us at hello@gemcollective.ca and provide us with details.
  • Do you have anything for children?
    Gem Collective events are limited to adults 19 and older. For children's events please visit our sister site www.gemveranda.ca

  • How do I care for my jewelry?
    Our chains are made of quality brass with electroplating and clear coating, free of lead, nickel, cadmium. To clean your jewelry, simply wipe with Mr. Clean and rinse. Do not use silver cleaners or any abrasives. Please keep your jewelry away from strong perfumes & creams and do not overly immerse in water. These steps will go a long way to keeping your lovely jewelry and lasting!
  • I'm not sure I'm creative and I'm a little nervous - will this be a good fit for me?
    You bet your sweet bippy you're creative! We all express ourselves differently, whether it's making a fabulous meal or problem solving at work. Jewelry making is surprisingly easy. At our jewelry socials we give you everything you need to make a beautiful piece of jewelry you will be very proud of. We promise you that your fears will delightfully put to rest. There's no way you can go wrong and there are a million ways to make a fabulous piece of jewelry. You will be surprised with how easy it is and how creative and fun the experience is.
